My Sketches Portfolio

Sketching is one of the things i enjoy. I started showing interests in arts when i was a kid. i couldn't remember when really so let me just start to the day my sister showed me a comic-strip-like drawing that, according to her, i made when i was a kindergarten. i had made many sketches and aquarelle before but i gave them away. i thought i could always make another.

After our graduation in elementary, my aunt Bebs enrolled us (me and my cousin, Yasi) to a summer art workshop (guitar, piano and voice too..) where i had my first-hand experience with an empty canvas and water color. i can still remember how i got my teacher frustrated at me when i drew a "setting sun in the beach" way too different from the sunset in the book that we were supposedly working on. hahaha! i wasted too many paint trying to cover my first painting.

As i can remember, i drew anime characters from Ghost Fighter, Magic Knight Ray Earth, Fushigi Yuugi and the like at the same time trying to do portraits (but i'm not really good at it).

When i was in college, i got a lot of things going on that the only time i could draw was during the period of boring subjects like Rizal and Filipino (sorry, but im not really into history. i get lost tracking down the life events of our national hero). eventually, my drawing went down to scribbling until to the point that it downgraded to stroking nothing more than line-here-line-there.

When i graduated college, i finally decided to drop some of the things that got my attention too much to focus on more important things (music and drawing was two of them). hey, i was trying to be an adult that time!

Not long enough, i started sketching again. i realized that it is one of the things that makes me happy and it simply gives me peace of mind from things that just don't go my way (i don't know if you also feel that way but for me, it does)

When i started blogging, i found another way to rant my thoughts onto. i was hesitant to put my sketches online thinking about what other people might think (they are not the bests, i know) but i saw some of the bloggers post their sketches too. i admit that some are geat artists and some are just like me (aspirant).

The heck i care, their blogs are not mine and so they are with mine. this is my personal diary online, i can put my stuffs in here however i want. live and let live, as they say..besides, nobody is interested enough to read my ramblings (hahaha! except you!)

Anyways, enough with my words.. words.. words.. here are some of the remaining sketches i managed to rummage over my stuffs.

i drew this in the hospital while waiting for the next nurse to receive my endorsements. i got this as freebie from Artwork in 2010. that guy is Oh Ji Ho in Juno. i got a big crush on him, just so you know :D i would have become an architect if i didnt enroll in nursing. i like this so muuuch! id like to wear this..someday,hihi! this one too! if i trim down to 40kg, maybe :D this is meeee! 2012 sketches Ill update this post from time to time, ciao!
